Solve Sony RX100 IV XAVC-S/AVCHD/MP4 importing issues with Final Cut Express, FCE (4)

July 31 2015 , Written by lauralily10 Published on #rx100 mk iv to fce, #import sony rx100 iv to final cut express, #open sony rx100 iv 1080p clip in fce, #editing rx100 iv xavc s in fce, #transcode sony dsc-rx100 iv xavc s clips, #Bring 4K XAVC S from Sony RX100 IV to fce, #work with Sony RX100 IV XAVC S in fce, #sony rx100 iv to aic mov for fce

If you meet the incompatibility while importing Sony RX100 IV footages to FCE, the artical will guide you to convert Sony RX100 IV XAVC S/AVCHD/MP4 files to AIC for editing in FCE with the best XAVC S to FCE Converter on Mac.

The RX100 IV takes great photos, but what about video?

If you looked at the side of the box before ripping it apart and tossing aside all of the instruction manuals, you may have seen a whole list of geeky-sounding video recording features: 4K, HFR 40x Super Slow-Mo, full HD 1080, X-AVC S and AVCHD Progressive!

What the hell does all of this stuff mean?

Like most cameras (and probably your smartphone), the RX100 IV can record video at 1,920 x 1,080 resolution. This, of course, is full HD, the same (probably) as your HDTV — a pretty common resolution. And it can capture in XAVC S, AVCHD Progressive and MP4, three different kinds of video compression formats.

However, XAVC S employs the Long GOP codec of H.264/AVC for video file compression. Moreover, the MP4 container format simplifies the handling of 4K video. What if we want to import Sony RX100 IV XAVC S to FCE and more?

We must meet the incompatibility problem as XAVC S codec is a new one, and is not widely supported.

In order to make the XAVC S videos from Sony RX100 IV compatible with Final Cut Express, a available way is to convert Sony RX100 IV XAVC S to FCE compatible format. Brorsoft Video Converter for Mac is the solid tool to help users make the XAVC S transcoding under Mac OS X(Mavericks and Yosemite included).

With it, you can effortlessly encode and re-encode XAVC S intra footage shot from Sony RX100 IV for smoothly importing and editing in various non-linear editing systems (NLE), including Final Cut Pro, iMovie, Final Cut Express, Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer and more. The Best Video Player for Mac

July 14 2015 , Written by lauralily10 Published on #video converter for mac, #convert video on mac, #mac video converter

The Mac offers a few options for video players, and all of them are pretty great, but VLC still gets the gold medal for video playback because it just works better than the competition.VLC

Platform: Mac OS X
Price: Free
Download Page

Features

*Plays practically any media file you can throw at it
*Very fast
*It works on practically every platform, so if you like it on Mac you can download a version for pretty much any other OS you use
*Converts and streams media
*Robust subtitle support
*Ability to boost the audio signal considerably
*Video filters, like de-interlacing and cropping, for customized playback
*Compensates for slow computers pretty well
*Create media playlists
*Tons of customizable keyboard shortcuts
*Great for playing content over the network
*Built-in audio equalizer

For a full list of features, go here.

Where It Excels

VLC is a fast video player that plays just about any media file you can throw at it. That's really all you need to know. If you want to play a movie, you drop it in VLC and it'll be playing in seconds. It has a playlist feature if you want to play multiple files. You can adjust the image to brighten it up, crop it, or do pretty much whatever you need to make it work best on your computer. While VLC is a complex application, when it comes to video playback there's really nothing that handles the task quite as well.Where It Falls Short

VLC is far from perfect. While its video playback features are very good, everything else is a little convoluted. Figuring out even the simplest of features, like the Media Library, is complicated if you don't know what you're doing. The streaming media and video conversion features are also not very new user-friendly. To get into VLC's more advanced features you need to be prepared to spend some time with the manual. It makes for a great video player, but when it comes to its other features you should expect to encounter at least a little frustration. The Competition

There is a lot of competition, and much of it does many things better than VLC. The problem is that the competition just doesn't work as well when it comes to the simple task of video playback. As much as we'd like to recommend something other than VLC, as VLC has long been king of the hill, these applications still have some work to do before they take the title.

MPlayerX has long been the main competitor to VLC and it's a very good video player. The main downside is that it can get pretty laggy and out of sync with video when it can't keep up for one reason or another. It has a great interface that's very similar to Quicktime Player X and is very easy to use, but sometimes falters in its main task: playing video.

Movist is like the hybrid child of VLC and MPlayerX, which makes it a very attractive option. It makes for a great video player in theory, but in our experience its been a bit slower and buggier than other options. We do hope that through Movist's development it continues to improve and can one day trump VLC.

Perian and Quicktime Player is the simplest combination you can use. Quicktime Player is really a very good, simple movie player and Perian adds support for pretty much every media file VLC can handle. The major downside is that Perian needs to buffer the file before it can play it. When you play something in VLC, it just plays. Nonetheless, if you really like Quicktime Player but need wider format support, this is the way to go.

Convert video to video files with optimized settings to fit your iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPod touch 5, iPad, iPad Air, iPad mini, Apple TV, PSP, Xbox 360, BlackBerry, HTC, Samsung and more ?

Brorsoft video converter mac is perfect for CONVERTING. Very simple and easy interface. I have used the program for two years now. I like its stability and its ease of use.

Want to edit your camcorder footage smoothly? Can't do the editing work? Brorsoft Video Converter for Mac offers full support for transcoding 1080p/1080i/720p AVCHD, MTS, M2TS, MXF, MOD, MOV, TOD footages to Apple ProRes, AIC, HDV, Avid DNxHD, etc on Mac for further editing with iMovie, Final Cut Pro, FCE, Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere, iDVD and more without quality loss and rendering time.

A7RII 4k work in Premiere - Editing Sony α7R ii XAVC S files in Adobe Premiere Pro CC7/CS6/CS5

Can Sony A7RII 4K video be edited with Premiere Pro? This is a tutorial about how to import and edit 4K XAVC S files from Sony A7R ii in Adobe Premiere Pro CC7/CS6/CS5 with OS X .

The impressive video credentials of Sony’s new α7R II camera include the ability to record movies in 4K quality (QFHD 3840×2160) in either Super 35mm crop mode or full-frame mode.In Super 35mm mode, the camera collects a wealth of information from approximately 1.8x as many pixels as 4K by using full pixel readout without pixel binning and oversamples the information to produce 4K movies with minimal moire and ‘jaggies’.

In full-frame mode, the α7R II utilizes the full width of the 35mm sensor for 4K recording, allowing users to utilize the expanded expressive power of the sensor. It is the world’s first digital camera to offer this in-camera full-frame format 4K recording capacity1. The camera utilizes the advanced XAVC S codec during video shooting, which records at a high bit rate of 100 Mbps during 4K recording and 50 Mbps during full HD shooting.

4K xavc s footage looks amazing but usually it can make video editing a real nightmare. Granted, Premiere Pro CS6, CC 7 can handle (usually) 4K files without much problem, but it is extremely hardware intensive. Thankfully you probably don't have to buy a new computer... but you do need to convert 4K xavc s video to Premiere Pro using MPEG-2 (1080p) as primary delivery format. The following paragraphs show us how to edit 4K xavc s footage from Sony A7RII with Premiere Pro without bogging down your computer. The process is surprisingly easy and can be done with the help of Brorsoft Video Converter for Mac.

This program not only can deal with heavy XAVC S files to Premiere affordable video format, but also supplies other powerful video codecs for NLEs, such as Apple ProRes for Final Cut Pro (X), DNxHD for Avid, AIC for iMovie and so on. Moreover, this ideal converting tool is equipped with basic editing functions including trimming, cropping, adding watermark, removing audio and more. If you are a PC user, then please turn to Brorosft Video Converter Windows version. Now, download the software and follow the guide below to start conversion.
